Janell by the Well Ministries — encouraging others to wholeness
Janell by the Well Ministries
Come to the well.
Helping women and teens come out of trauma and into wholeness — through education, discipleship, and a community that meets you where you are.
John 4
She came for water.
She left with a future.
Jesus met a woman at a well — a woman with a story people whispered about. One honest conversation changed everything, and her testimony brought a whole town to believe.
"Many believed because of her testimony." — John 4:39
The founder
Birthed out of
a broken place.
Janell by the Well began where change felt impossible and resources were next to none. God rebuilt that life — and gave it a true heart for loving the broken.
— Janell Cimino, founder
The work
We repeat what
we don’t repair.
Speaking, podcasts, mentorship, an online support group, weekend retreats, and a weekly teen program — education and discipleship that help you find your normal.
"Out of that comfort, we comfort others." — 2 Corinthians 1:4
The promise
Life grows back.
Healing isn’t the end of your story — it’s the beginning. The same well, in bloom.
"Whoever drinks the water I give them will never thirst." — John 4:14
You don’t have to
do it alone.
Keep going — the programs, the people, and the ways to reach out are just below.

About the founder
God gave me the gift of gab — and I intend to use it.
Janell by the Well Ministries was birthed out of a broken place — where change felt impossible and resources were next to none. Once God gave Janell the wisdom to overcome, she longed to help others do the same.
Today that looks like speaking, live podcasts, mentorship, retreats, and a weekly room full of teenagers finding out they're not alone.
Testimonials
A few words from people who've walked with us
Janell came to Texas to speak for an event to raise money for a women’s discipleship home. She delivered a power-packed, insightful message on domestic abuse. Her biblical knowledge, paired with her life experience, gives her a special passion when she speaks. She serves on our ministry board and teaches bi-weekly to the women in the home.

I fell on hard times and ended up in prison. Janell was the first person to come visit me. She wrote me letters, checked on my kids — she was a support to me while I was away. She always meets me where I’m at, just like Jesus does. She doesn’t shame me if I fall back; she reminds me I can do it again, since I’ve done it before.

The changes in my son since he started attending Generation Shift have been noticeable, to say the least. He used to be apprehensive about going — now he mentors the younger students. The real-life curriculum, paired with her transparency about her own story, helps the teens relate. It’s nice to see my son have an adult he can trust.
