About

A testimony strong enough to build on

Janell by the Well exists because one life was rebuilt from a broken place — and refused to keep the way out a secret.

Birthed out of a broken place

"Janell by the Well Ministries was birthed out of a broken place — where I felt changing was impossible and resources were next to none for helping save my life. This gave me a true heart for loving the broken. Once God gave me the wisdom and ability to overcome the adversities in life, I longed to empower others to do the same."

The Bible calls us to be disciples — to become like Christ, and then go and teach others. Christ comforts us, and out of that comfort we comfort others (2 Corinthians 1:4). That conviction runs through everything this ministry does: speaking engagements, live podcasts, teaching, mentorship, a teen youth program, an online women's support group, and weekend retreats.

"God gave me the gift of gab and I intend to use it. Our goal is to help you reach the freedom Jesus died for you to have."

Why "by the well"?

The woman at the well left with a testimony

In John 4, Jesus meets a Samaritan woman drawing water alone — a woman whose past was the town's favorite whisper. He offers her living water, and she leaves her jar behind to go tell everyone what just happened.

"Many of the Samaritans from that town believed in him because of the woman's testimony."

John 4:39

That's the whole model. A story God rewrote, told out loud, bringing others to the same well. It's why a ministry built on one woman's testimony carries her name — and His.

Our mission

Helping people help themselves

We provide people coming out of a trauma background with the resources to overcome what stands in their way — a safe, supportive environment, education, and discipleship that helps each person find the best possible path for their situation.

We connect people with the support and services they need to find their "normal" — because everyone deserves access to what it takes to make the most of their life.
